Market Reports - Bulls are keeping market higher
After a strong opening, the market continued to trade at the higher levels as the bulls are very optimistic towards the market & sustained buy-sell is happening across the major key indices. Further, NSE Nifty breached the psychological level of 6,000 in the early trade & still trading strong. It seems that the market has reacted happily to the 25bps cut announcement by US Fed. Except BSE FMCG, all other indices are trading in green.
At 11.33AM, the BSE Sensex is trading higher by 187.15 points at 20,025.14 while the Nifty is trading at 5968.50 with a gain of 67.85 points.
In BSE group ”A”, Reliance Petroleum reported as the top turnover with a trading of 263301.99 shares valued at Rs.72,790.00 Lakh as the investors are bullish over the stock many days.
Major gainers from the NSE pack are Reliance Petroleum up by (19.51%) at Rs.294, L&T by (7.79%) at Rs.4575, along with these, Sterlite Industries is trading firm by (4.46%) at Rs.1085.35. Further PNB is up by (4.19%) at Rs.547 and BHEL by (3.93%) at Rs.2716.
The Capital Goods index is trading higher with the highest gain of 791.05 points at 20586.37. Scrips gaining are Alfa Laval up by (11.84%) at Rs.1114, L&T Ltd by (7.79%) at Rs.4575, Areva by (7.00%) at Rs.2539, BHEL by (3.93%) at Rs.2716, and Punj Lloyd by (3.87%) at Rs.487.
The Metal index is also trading firm with the gain of 435.89 points at 18320.82. Keeping it up are Jindal Steel by (10.28%) at Rs.13170 along with Jindal Saw by (5.56%) at Rs.831, Sterlite Industries by (4.46%) at Rs.1085.35, & Jindal Stainless by (3.99%) at Rs.173.30.
Larsen & Toubro from Capital Goods sector is witnessing heavy buying on the news that the Company is set to bag Rs.5,000-cr Mumbai airport redevelopment contract. The contract entails reconstruction of the domestic and international airport buildings, as well as the air-side redevelopment of the Chatrapati Shivaji International Airport (CSIA). This will include building the runway and a new integrated cargo complex among others.
